A surgeon inserts a thin, lighted tube with a camera, called a laparoscope, through a small incision in the abdomen. The surgeon can then view the abdominal contents on a video monitor.With the help of other instruments inserted through additional small cut,called ports,the surgeon can operate on the diseases found through the camera
